Haven’t had time to gather eggs - but one thing is for sure it will be an Easter egg hunt again!

It’s turn extremely hot now so I imagine the eggs will slow down.

After no eggs for months one of my 11 month olds had started, in winter with shortest day lengths. 5 so far and today two pullets laid!

Congrats! Winter eggs feel like such a treat!

One of my pullets started laying the morning after the winter solstice. We still get 10 hours of sunlight a day though, even on the shortest day, so I guess the declining light didn’t matter for her.

A perfect day, 7 nice eggs from the flock of seven. Two dozen eggs are on the countertop ready to sell and three are cooking in the skillet for my breakfast.

1 from 2 hens and 2 from the 4 pullets. One of the pullet eggs had a weak shell so I fed it to the hens.
