How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm actually quite a bit excited as well. My friend hatched these so we might have a surprise cockerel in the mix so I switched feed to all-flock with calcium on the side instead of the layer they were on until we've settled on everybody's gender.
I long ago gave I worrying about their feed, I feed a 17% layer and everyone gets it, we can’t get All Flock up here.

My wee wee babies get chick starter until they start running with the gang at about 2 weeks then they get layer starter and all they grain that the horses spill from their feed 😊 my Thoroughbred mare is a messy eater and the chooks love her hahaha!

I close her stall door so that the chooks can’t get into her stall and accidentally get stepped on. When the chooks go to bed I open all the stall doors and they horses just have a rubber covered chain stall guard to keep them in. But I am too paranoid about wee babies getting hurt to leave just the stall guard in place. Those brats like to dig in the horses poop running between the horses legs giving me heart failure!

I
6 today. One of the girls had poopy butt feathers, probably from drinking more water than normal during this heatwave. Got 'em cleaned up for her.
I give my ladies a good trimming of butt feathers year round, they have such fluffy butts some of them, helps keep the eggs clean also.

Thanks, that's good to know. Hopefully I'll find out what gender they are in a couple of weeks. We still have a couple of bags of layer laying about since getting the chicks was more of a spur of the moment thing. No regrets though. 😊
