7 eggs and an 8the without a shell. First time ever seeing that. We think it was laid by a Speckled Sussex as they are just starting to lay. Our Isa Browns have been laying for several weeks now without any issue. Eggs are getting bigger with each day.

A friend at work just had twins and is breastfeeding them. I gave her 18 eggs to go towards the lactation fortification fund.

Got me a king Kong raccoon stalking the big house right now. The ladies are not sleeping well. Count has been low the last couple of days. Rocky will be live trapped here shortly. He has out smarted the trap 2 nights in a row. Got a smart one this time.

I’ve got one of those too! As long as he’s doing legit trash panda jobs in the dark I won’t mess with him. He shows up during daylight he’s going to have a problem! My chickens are secure and being electric fence at night.
