How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

We collected 10 eggs today. Largest harvest so far. One of those are from a first time layer. So exciting.

3 eggs from 13 hens. They’re only 5 months old though, so not all have started laying. We were getting 5-6 a day, but it’s decreased the past 4-5 days

Yesterday my sister said we got three eggs…a Banty egg, a Golden Comet egg, which she broke, and a very thin-shelled egg. I cooked the thin shelled egg and tossed it out for the girls. Banty egg in the rack with the other eggs.

Today 6 were laid but one was soft, squished and eaten in the nest box. So that makes 5!

Idk who laid this 2.4 oz monster, but if it was Basil it would explain why she screeched like a dinosaur at me when I accidentally opened the nest box while she was in there earlier lol. It's almost certainly going to be a double yolker lol
