How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

We got back home from an overnight stay up in the Virginia Mountains on the New River Trail and found we had 50 eggs waiting for us. My neighbor friend came by and collected the eggs last night and locked the Gals up and then came back again this morning and let 'em back out. He gets free eggs every week. He doesn't even have to ask. He's also a contractor with a tracked bobcat and lots of tractor equipment so he my new bestest friend!!! Anyways, I was cleaning them an broke one so we ended up with 49 nice big brown ones below. They'll be going in with me to the office tomorrow morning and they'll be gone within 30 minutes of me unlocking my door.

I got 4 eggs from 6 hens - which includes my 1st green egg. My pullets were all hatched on July 26, so I think they're doing really well.

5/8 today. I made the girls stay in the coop all day today. Yesterday, they didn't get to go out until about 5:00 pm.

I just can't seem to get everybody to lay on the same day. The 3 that took a break yesterday - - laid today. Three more took a break today.

5/6 today. We had a week of cooler weather and they really seemed to kick into gear. Hopefully the 95 degrees forecast for Tuesday won't throw them off too much. Got a lovely green egg today.

16/25+ hens---I have alot of pullets at the POL so I dont know who is anymore! I do know I have 2 slackers that are 2 and 3 yrs old that I havent seen lay an egg in months!
