13 out of 17. Two were cracked, though. My husband doesn't like to give the girls in the tractor much in the way of shavings in the nest box, and they circle and circle, and scratch and pick, and lay their eggs from a standing position onto bare wood. We get at least one cracked one per day. Maybe one of these days he will connect the dots.
i kept getting a few cracked ones also...and mine have shavings...we just make sure to eat them first...lol...i have put kitchen shelf/drawer liner down in the bottom of mine (you know the spongey type one)...
that might work for you if you can figure out how to tack it down so they dont scratch it out (and on that note: thumbtacks around the edges might work so you could take it out from time to time to clean it)
ETA: 6/9 that should be laying.........7 bantams @ POL........4 more pullets still a few weeks away...and 3 chicks
