10 yesterday! No one is laying in the shed anymore, I think the ground is too cold hahaha

I really want to know which hen is laying the oblong shaped egg, its so cool lol

Today is donation day - last week it was four dozen but they surprised me this week and this week its five

On Thursday, my husband and I had a braai (He's from South Africa and this is what they call their style of bbq) and I gave the girls all the extras, so they got some potato salad, caesar salad (they turned their noses up at the plain lettuce I gave, until that was the LAST thing left, only THEN did they deign to eat it lol) and even got a lamb shoulder bone with a little meat attached.


All weekend long, every time I show my face outside, no matter WHERE they are on the farm, they come RUNNING lolollolololol

I feel so bad I don't always have goodies for them lol they are just like little doggos <3 gosh I love em

8 eggs today, plus 2 that were broke, brittle shelled eggs.

Cleaned up two of the messy eggs from the broken egg. Gave the third one to old Penelope, she has been losing weight. Time to bring out some meat for her.

8 yesterday - hadn't seen one from Custard in a few days - she lays this awesome desaturated olive green, so it looks grey -- man is it cool! It has this exaggerated tapered end. But she laid one this morning!

I never would have thought I'd get to know the different eggs so well, all the colors and shapes are unique. It's a whole angle I didn't expect
