Congrats on the new record, they look like lovely big eggs!6 eggs from 9 or 8 hens today! New record for my flock haha middle of English winter too!?! Been -1c alot the time?!! Just had a house hold light on in there coop on a timer for 16 hours of light a day.. all just coming out of point of lay original ones 8months ISA browns n newer younger 5 months (2) Columbian blacktails, (3) what I believe to be golden comets the guy didnt know what the beige gold really light coloured commercial egg layers was but after looking around I think there golden comets, n one of those looks like cud be a rooster as getting quite pronounced sharp spurs n bigger wattles than even my 8month old hens at 5 months old!? So that's why I said 6 eggs from 9 or 8 hens lol that one also has very light silver or gold laced markings around perimeter of all it's saddle feathers n the others dontah well at least il have a rooster to fertilise and protect lol I was planning on tryna breed my own for self sufficiency anyways..

Well the 3 I'm calling golden comets are just what I think they look like to me, I wasn't told there breed he said maybe they cud be gold lines or somthin but all he's hens he gets as chics in bulk deal off a breeder that only breeds production egg layers so those 3 are something really light golden or beige that lays an egg a day haha and no there not buff orptingtons as layin an egg a day and way to small n slimCongrats on the new record, they look like lovely big eggs!
If you have Golden Comets, or some other variation of red sexlink, the boys will have a totally different coloring. It’s more likely that you just have a girl who is maturing faster.
Edit: Here is another thread with pictures to show the difference between the genders, so you can compare: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...ex-link-male-looks-like.794210/#post-11444656
