How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

3 eggs from 4 hens today-only one egg yesterday though. Mine have only been laying for a week so this is all very exciting!

Hens are so cool, we broke opened a whole bail of straw in their yard for them to scratch in.

I had surgery last week to have my shoulder repaired, (A-C separation). So my wife has forbid me to enter the coop.

Can't wait to get back in with them. She gave in to me helping with the straw. Fun watching them having fun.

in the dead of winter here somehow we ended up with a dozen eggs out of 15 birds... this is the first time they have laid so many haha hopefully this is the beginning of a new trend

and and not to mention my quail just started laying whoop whoop though who would of though such a large egg could come from such small birds

I'm running a day behind in my counting because I work in the afternoons until 2:00 am so my son does the egg gathering for me and I count when I get home.

Yesterday: 1-3-2011................9 LF eggs and 2 Bantam eggs.

I just now started my egg journel on the 1st. My flock started laying late in October so I waited until the new year to start my egg counts.


ETA: No lights this year either. I have a total of 29 LF hens and 7 bantam.
