I just got a frozen egg today it was cracked open and you could see that it was frozen.I'm not sure if they are or not I would like to know also.

If it actually cracked open, it's no good due to possible contamination.

If they're just cold, stick em in the fridge -- you CAN cook with eggs that have gotten partially frozen. Heck, you can crack eggs, and freeze them in ice trays and then save em in a zippy bag for later.

I kinda knew that you really shouldn't eat the cracked ones but I was wondering about the not cracked ones so thanks!

Way to go, joelharris!!! So far, I have 9/12 but a couple were doing their squawking song so I may get another one or two. Had ice storm last night and didn't know if I was gonna get the coop door open or not. Had to pour hot water on door knob to get it open. (Have old modified camping trailer for coop!) Temp not low, only around 25F but ice is 1/2" thick. They're not going out to forage today!!!

0/4... only have one active layer and she's laying once every two days. Still have an egg in the fridge so um good for now...

Had store bought eggs this AM and I gotta tell you, they're nasty looking even though they're free range organic.. pale yellow yolks.. I'm getting used to bright orange yolks.
