6/6 today. Found a hen sitting on 4 eggs in a nest box....they were so nice and warm! no chance of freezing that way! I didn't have the heart to kick her out of the box. They had all been sleeping on the roost all summer. This is the first time I found one in a box at night. I guess it's possible she was laying an egg. I thought she was in there to keep warm.
