How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

It is to early to gather eggs right now but yesterday I got 10 eggs!

Thank you. She was a white rock named cotton. Sweet bird and layed every day. Caution.....we had a concrete bird bath she jumped up on that tipped on her. I wouldn't have dreamed in a million years they could too it but I was wrong and it cost me one of my girls. So if you have one your birds jump on. Get some construction adhesive or something to perminatly attack the top to the base.

Thank you!!! We have one (not in the run, but our ladies do free range for a few hours per day).....will have 18 year old son secure it today.

Your welcome, I just hope this will help prevent someone from making the same mistake I did. Here is how it was with our set up. We have it secured to the base now.

1/4 but one is broody hiding and now setting eggs in the woods and I'm starting to think a few more are in on it

2/4 Tried to get them to lay in the nesting boxes with plastic eggs. No luck. Tried to get them to lay using golf balls. No luck. Moved one of their own eggs to the nesting boxes and we finally had our first egg laid there in almost 2 weeks. Two of my girls are consistently not laying. My araucana is moulting so I know she isn't - I just can't figure out who the other hen is.

We're nerds over here so I thought it would be fun to hook a webcam up to a Raspberry Pi and set up the motion detecting recording so I can see who is laying and who isn't. Also, y'know...nerd. And SCIENCE.

1/4. I don't think the ladies were happy that it was so hot today but also that they didn't get their free range time this morning. Gave them an extra hour tonight but I don't think they care.

7 from 7 hens.. however- out of the 7 only two lay white eggs.. two leghorns... and 3 of the 7 eggs were white. none this am when I left for work so one of the leghorns laid two today... not sure what to make of that...
