It was kind of warm today 114 F degrees by 10 AM and for some reason it was rather muggy in the house with the swamp cooler on all day .......

It was kind of warm today 114 F degrees by 10 AM and for some reason it was rather muggy in the house with the swamp cooler on all day .......

because once the humidity gets over a certain saturation point, the moisture in the air no longer brings relief but instead stifles all living things, making it feel much hotter than it actually is.

...........but they're all only 17 or 18 weeks so I can't complain.

2/19 - another small Ida egg and my first EE - a lovely shade of pale blue. But I broke it. <sigh> She laid in on what my granddaugher calls the "poop deck" and I found it when I was cleaning the board this morning. It had poop and PDZ stuck on it so I was trying to hold it without getting my fingers all yucky - it slipped out, hit the floor of the coop and that was that. Doggone it!

It was only 115 F degrees by 10AM and no wind so they performed brilliantly

And only 9 more weeks to go of these high heat days
