How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2/12. My production red finally started laying this week!! She is 19 weeks old. It won't be until sometime in October when the 10 I received from Murray McMurray start to lay. I got them July 6th

Yesterday I got 1/5... today so far I have 1/4, we lost our barred rock twilight yesterday afternoon so we will see if she was our 2nd layer. She looked so ready to lay but then she got sour crop and I couldn't fix her fast enough. it's weird only counting 4 hens instead of 5 now.

6/20 the 5 April pullets are beginning to show signs, and 1 red star pullet laid yesterday

There are indeed 12 eggs in the basket and I only have 11 chickens. Guess who forgot to check the roll out and bring in a nice extra large brown egg last night? Oh, wait, that's another contest and I'm out of prizes at the moment. <sigh> That increases yesterday's count and blows a hole in the bonus round for today.

Awesome! I wish I could enjoy chicken tv more than I do but alas I have 3 small children who do indeed need my attention as well! My count is down to 4 hens now I think I still have 2 layers in the 4 though, I will have to probably wait until tomorrow to know for sure though. I am pretty certain my 1st layer took yesterday off as she laid her egg at 745 this morning, I just happened to be in the coop at the time. And yesterday's egg was laid about 3 to 4pm so I think our 2nd layer may skip today and if I have my facts right that means the 2nd layer is not the one that passed because she was gone between noon and 3pm!
