7/12 from my mixed layer flock that is getting ready to start molting, and 2/16 from my 4 month old Blue and Black Copper Marans and Olive Eggers that are just starting to lay.

5/16 I think that at least 6 are starting to molt as my yard is nothing but feathers. Hopefully it'll get better once they are done.

What color egg do red stars lay?

Both my red stars lay a golden brown egg. It is medium brown, but a little different brown than I get from the plymouth rocks or australorps.

My count will be down from now on. Yesterday I had 11/11. This morning my Pearly-girl, one of my most dependable hens as well as being friendly and gorgeous, died. This stinks.
