How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Hope Katie gets a big bunch of little chickies.

Been waiting for the day I would get 10 out of 10, Then I would know for sure all 10 Barred Rocks were laying. The most I have had in the 4 weeks they have been laying was 9.
Well today I got 12 eggs. That is a definite puzzle. I have one other brown egg layer that looks ready to lay so I guess one was from her but the others that are the same age as
her should be laying blue or blue/green eggs. Guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.

First day of 2 eggs in a long while! Emma finally plopped out her first egg! Yay!

Hi, it's spring time here in Melbourne and we picked up our three POL ladies (our first chickens ever) on the weekend. We have two bantam leghorns and an australorp. They each laid an egg today and have been averaging two a day - which is perfect for the two of us.

Vehve, your spreadsheet is impressive. I think my husband has been inspired to create one too! I'm glad to hear that their eggs should get bigger over the next few months.

Yes. That will now be added to my running vocabulary.
'I got home from work and miraculously plopped down on the sofa'. No, that does not work... 'I miraculously plopped dinner onto the table.' yep. That works. Dinner is always a miracle around here.
