How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Wow, I'm glad to know I am not the only one with slackers. I have 14 chickens and get six eggs most of the time. I got 9 one day and now two days in a row I have gotten 6 again. Very frustrating, I have been getting lot's of calls for eggs and can't supply.

It's that time of year here and mine are not getting any supplemental light and I guess the tarp roof is making things worse, laying wise. Maybe I will replace the dark tarp on one side of the run with clear plastic and see what happens. I can't even see to gather the eggs inside anymore. LOL

1/8. I take it that means my girls are not enjoying the snow!

But on the bright side I'm feeling better about ordering a few more chicks than I had originally intended for the spring.

3 eggs yesterday out of 3 total laying hens. I have a few bantams that aren't laying at all. I'm assuming it is way too cold for them... They're tiny little bodies can't handle all that...

My one hen who is still laying is snowed away from her nest.....don't know if she will lay in the coop.

Dear sweet Miss Poppy left me an egg in the coop nest.

2/3, 1 green and 1 brown pullet egg. Looks like I've got a few more getting ready. It was a cold day -15c
