2 injured/ 7 laying.....5 eggs today, all 4 laying leghorns are producing, just one of the 3 red comets are laying. I have lots of brown feathers so I'm thinking they decided while everything is in an uproar because of cold weather and predators they'll go ahead and get a molting session over with! Sigh......The ladies in the M.A.S.H. tent seem to be doing fine , their appetite has increased and they're getting alot more vocal and harassing their sisters thru the shared fence. Meanwhile, I'm researching what breeds I want to add to the flock in the Spring and new coop designs! Chicken math strikes again!
Does anyone on here given or provided hatching eggs for schools? What are the pro's and cons based on your experiences. Also what happens after the chicks hatch. Did you have to go in to the class room and help or provide information regarding hatching.
