How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

It's with a Samsung galaxy 5s. It's the first time I've tried using this phone to take pictures of blue eggs and it didn't work well. How weird that the Iphone does the same thing! My old HTC Incredible over exposed them making them look almost white. I asked my 15 year old daughter to try and take a few pictures with her Iphone 5, here are the results. She touched a buttom on the bottom of the screen with 3 circles that showed the eggs in all kinds of exposures (she screen shot it for us), then chose the ones that looked best. Which one looks the bluest to you? Do you also have Cream legbar hens? I wonder if I have any feature like that on my phone? I'll have to explore it. Do you have this setting?

I moved the reply to this thread to another thread as to not hijack it. I put it under hobbies as I had no idea where to put it.

This is the thread:

I have heard of the mythical double lay in one day, i just got 11 eggs in two days from 5 hens these girls just blew my mind. Granted two are undersized but still pretty cool! Anyone had this happen before?

I have had it happen, and I know it was the same hen because I literally watched her lay both eggs. Early in the morning I was out cleaning coop and Agatha was on the nest. She stood up, dropped her egg, and I snagged it, still warm and wet.

Later that evening I went out to lock up. Agatha was back on the nest. I chided her about already having had her turn when again she stood, dropped an egg, and after a few minutes she left the nest and I grabbed that still-warm egg. Yep, it happens. By the way, both eggs were her normal size and were perfect.

I like hens like that! It means she is a good layer.

Having a hen who lay twice in one day is awesome!
But fortunately for them, they don't do it often. Imagine how hard that would be on their little bodies to have to lay two eggs a day over and over. <Shudder>

Slow day today. So far only 3 eggs - they'd better pick up the pace! I just updated Scout's page - I'm almost positive that she's not a he! Silly dilly likes standing in the snow and eating it. So I guess I can safely assume that, aside from the ugliest feet in the chicken world, she's not suffering any ill effects from her adventure into her own version of "Frozen".

AAWW....I hate when that happens!!! I had been averaging 20-22 a day, but dropped to 17 today for unk reasons, we did not have any snow pile like you, but it's been dark and rainy for what seems to be an eternity. I want spring and sunshine sooooooooooo bad.......sigh.......where's my bag of dove chocolates.....??? Oh, there it is.....working my way through it...

I have 3 old Cream Legbar hens who are about done laying and am trying to hatch more CLB pullets. I only have 2 pullets right now that are laying, as soon as it warms up, I want to try replenishing the flock with them.

I will have to google Arkansas blues, I've never heard of them.

I looked it up, and I want me some Arkansas blues too!!!!!
