Oh good, I'm glad that it's OK that you got her. I really meant to keep her though because of the missing feathers. I was considering it a flaw, but then forgot about it when you were here. She was serious enough about being a mom to pluck her tummy feathers....in JANUARY!! Yet, it was really easy to break her broody, all I had to do was take her out of the nesting box twice and feed her treats outside of the hen house before she came to her senses and remembered that she liked her freedom. I would hope she would stay on eggs if given the chance though. None of your other new girls have ever gone broody.yes PeeWee is missing feathers. Which actually makes me really excited. I want one to go broody to hatch some olive eggers and hopefully darker down eggs. She's so friendly but likes to hang out rather thAn follow me around. I hadn't looked that close. I like to sit down and watch them to make sure everyone is getting along.
It would be nice to get some Olive Eggers! I have one Easter Egger who lays olive! They are my husbands favorite eggs!
