How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Got the first egg from our White Rock, at least I think that's who laid it. She's right around 15 weeks old. The other one is from our EE. Getting 3/6. Have a hawk flying around so the girls may be stressed. It's not a chicken hawk but it still makes them uneasy.

I had none as of 11am but then around 130 one of them started her egg song. "BA-GAW!" Over and over. She stood at the door of the nesting house standing watch and squawking while a few others were inside.

About an hour later I was going to add some straw to the nesting boxes and found 3!

3/6 today.
We took them out and went back to reinforcing our deck and cam across a robins nest with 3 eggs.

11/18/19+8 littles.
Not surprised, considering all the construction going on in the coop the last couple of days.
Also brought the littles out tonight, in their own fenced off section for a day or two.

Did they love it?
They're scared. First time out of the brooder for more than a few minutes at a time, and the first time they've seen other chickens They were peeping up a storm as it got dark.

I added a 6'x6' section to the coop to make room for them, and will be adding more nesting boxes.

Right now they have their own 2'x6' fenced area with food, water, and straw.

9 for 9. First time since the young chicks were introduced to the 'BIG' house. I even found one young Buff, who flew over the fence, mingling with the big girls. Maybe she was getting some pointers.
