8/14, not including the broodies otherwise it's 8/18

1 broody with 5 chicks
1 broody with 8 (9?) chicks
1 broody on 9 eggs
1 almost-broody having fits so far

6 eggs from 8 laying hens....littles are settling in well and the "Krewe" seems to be loving the fermented feed mash.

Can anyone help me decide if I have two new layers or one?! A four and a half mo. Crele Orp and a five and a half mo. old Lav Australorp...
???!!!???
Could I have one layer that is messin' with my head or the two that I've waited for?

Left laid yesterday and right laid today!



Oh, and we broke our 'old' record and got SIX eggs today! Woot!

So, either 6/6/9 or 6/7/9 (?) Lol.

Those sure look like they came from different birds.

Apparently no lingering effects from moving to the new coop! They keep trucking along 8/9 plus one VERY broody Red comet!
The first morning after the move we did find the golfballs in the floor and she was hoarding all the leghorn eggs, but I confiscated those and put the golfballs back under her, its been four days and she still on them! And everybody else seems to have gotten the hint and have been laying in the other three nestboxes...whew! She is very grumpy, to the point that my husband threatened to slip her a Midol...

Hopefully bringing home some new chicks next week!
