3 of 9. Today this week is our first ever from first flock so am happy getting daily 3eggs. 2 Speckled Sussex and 2 Golden Compine so far. Waiting for 2 Buff Orpington, a Dominique and 2 Rhode Island Red to start.

Best layer is our White Leghorn. She just started up again after a month off. Before that she laid everyday with the exception of one.

1/2 Henrietta is upto at least 5 days in a row right now. Mildred skipped again after only 2 eggs this time. Already looking forward to spring....

We just started getting eggs last week we got one last week and three yesterday unfortunately I don't know who's laying them and I knew to having chickens so I'm not sure if there's a certain way to know or not

Temp 68 F degrees with high winds all day





I should be back Friday evening going to the family Thanks giving dinner in Northern California in Mendocino county and I can only imagine the coastal view will be some rough white capes with all the winds

I'm wondering about my girls. 3 Delawares and 2 RIR. I got them in April, so they are 31 weeks now, but I only have one layer, "Hero Hen", a RIR. The other RIR's comb went orange and her wattles are much smaller than Hero Hen's. The Delawares are bright red and have been for weeks, still, no eggs, although one of them went into a reluctant squat when I petted her the other day. They don't free range, so there is no way they could be hiding them from me.

I have two Easter Eggers who are now 15 weeks. They may catch up to my originals!
