How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

14 out of 16 or 17 laying. whoopee! Averaging about 11 a day ...for this month it seems but they just started laying last month so we are doing great!

Hi,

Just an update...

I haven't been getting as many eggs as a month ago, averaging 13 to 15 eggs a day from 27 laying hens but yesterday I got 18, so things are looking up! The problem is that I have 5 broodies that haven't been laying at all and 6 very old RIR's (those, at the most, have given me 4 eggs a day). The most I ever got from this group is 21 eggs in one day, a couple of months ago. With those Silkies, it seems I ALWAYS have some broodies.

I also have 5 pullets that aren't included in the count, as they haven't layed yet. So soon (I hope) there should be more eggs (unless some turn out to be roosters).
