How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I usually get between 4-10 eggs, occasionally 11 or 12 out of 13 hens!

We've had 11 so far including one that either was a new egg or someone had a glitch in their shell gland possibly a problem with the bloom I'm not sure.

. Was able to save others but had to put down 4.

They were Black Australorps. I have some week old chicks so I have replacement birds and I was able to process them out and save most of the meat. The dog broke 2 necks and the wings on the other 2. Some good came out of it. Plus I've been given the go ahead to hatch more.
Still sad and the dog was a stray I think. Animal control took it. They are going to test it for rabies and then let me know if the meat is safe. I'll keep the meat apart until then.

1- 49 gram egg!

One gram shy of Large grade. I'm excited as it's from one of eight in a 10 month old flock. Many false egg song alarms that started back in November. This felt like the longest wait ever for eggs as it WAS the longest I've ever waited for an egg.
