I got 5 eggs today !!! Thats the most I ever got from my 20 young hens

I was beginning to think I was never going to get more than 2 eggs every other day . So happy !!!!

We are still averaging 3-4 a day from the 4 girls. We have now given away 4 cartons, & kept 4 cartons.

4/10....the rest haven't started laying yet (that I know of). 3 non layers are EE 27 weeks, and a BO, Lorp, OE (all around 24 weeks).

see all mine are a six months and a year different in ages so will not moult

My Icelandic and Ameraucana pullets are too young to lay. I've got very young pullets sired by the hybrid Maran, the Cuckoo Maran and the purebred Silkies so hopefully some other shades in there...lol. I'll be breeding with the Icelandic and the new Barred Rock rooster next year.
