How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

A nice mix. CONGRATS. GC

Thank you very much. It's been about 28-30 years since I've had chickens. Didn't realize how much I missed it till my wife and I started talking about getting some. Made me feel like a kid again.

Yes my mom had chickens, lived with them for 21 years and fed and watered them for 15 years. I decided to get chicks in early spring after 34 years and I love my pullets. GC

I loved the fact I had something to do and have fun my 5 or 6 birds has turned into 20
and one cockerel two weeks a go I went and bought a ancient plucker to process the ones
I hatch that do not go away soon enough

I would love to have a plucker but I am stuck with the hot water dipping method and hand plucking for a while. I've spent too much money on converting a building into a good coop.

Quote: if you look at my profile I spent 450 on it including 2 tarps at different times so I have a 17 foot diameter coop
plus what we call the bachelor pad a 4 x 4 grow out coop, the plucker only cost 80.00 the people where retiring
and had it to go he had paid 1800.00 35 years ago for it but still runs like bran new.
the arthritis in my hands I am unable to pluck without serious pain and fingers that curl
