How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Oooooo, I want my egg carton to look that beautfully colorful! Digging the olive color one. One of my EE's is supposed to give olive eggs. She isnt laying yet. Should happen any day.

I do love my olive egg. I bought 3 Olive Eggers from a backyard breeder. One died, one turned out to be a roo, and one lays these beautiful eggs. I tried to breed a few green layers by hatching 2 Cream Legbar Eggs and 2 of Blue's (OE) eggs. The father is likely a RIR. I'm pretty sure already that one of Blue's babies is a roo and the other one is our special needs chicken, so hopefully the Cream Legbar babies are girls and will lay green eggs. My Olive Egger is an F1 Marans/Ameraucana cross.

Mine came from a local farm. They just said she was an olive egger chick. She is all black with a black rose comb or maybe a pea comb (its flat and rounded) with red under it showing through. Any gusses what she could be a mix of?

I think that breeding Ameraucanas and Marans are a common way to make Olive Eggers. I've also seen Cream Legbars and Welsummers bred together. I'm no expert, but I'd guess an Ameraucana or Easter Egger (usually a pea comb) bred with some brown egg layer. My Olive Egger looks like a Blue Ameraucana. There are several colors of Ameraucanas, including black.

thank you! Been a long road it seems but getting much better now. What are your numbers looking like? I can't wait for all 26 finally. We are getting a barn soon so hopefully the larger space will also help

My kids get upset anytime I make changes in the coop ie the two teenagers came out of my
bachelor pad/grow up coop now we start again I let them loose and of course go to take the wire crate I had them in
and chicken little the sky is falling
