How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Saving about a dozen to hatch but my new friends she is doing the hatching
now she has two incubators and is going to borrow mine to do it

1 chicken egg and 1 goose egg..no accidents today. Yea! I cannot wait until my other babies start laying, I'm a little envious with all the 10-18 eggs you guys are bragging about. I'll be close in May so be prepared!!!

Oh my geese run each other out of the pool all the time it is all part of the hierarchy and the disruption of any fun is totally normal but for the most part they are a close nit community and always funny to watch as a lot of behaviors they have are almost human in nature and your gaggle sound normal .  And your geese should have there own nest in the shade as well safe to them but they will always pick their own nesting spot anyway or that is what I have found .

Well I'm feeling a little better about my girls now, I'll stay out of their business. It just makes me mad to see poor Lucy constantly being picked on by Laverne. I've noticed Lucy does her own thing the last day and a half, she will wander off and make Leonardo find her, I'm guessing it's to get back at Laverne...kind of like high-school games. LOL Pretty funny!

not me either ouch :lau

Baking white bread you get to knead called for scaled milk with water :idunno

having allot fun doing this stuff now

It's been a long time since I've baked bread. When I was pregnant with my oldest I craved homemade bread so I was baking about every other day...the doc put me on a salf free/sugar free diet, it was horrible! Yep, gained 60 lbs but I was skinnier than I am now so I'm still not sure why I had to be tortured. I could never get enough to eat while pregnant and my metabolism would go on strike, gained 80 with my second so I understand that one. LOL

I have 11 happy ducks that lay eggs during the year but the last two months it has been very slow at 1 or 2 a day. Getting discouraged with this, it needs to change soon. I even bough 1 dozen from another farm but her ducks slowed down from 11 to 3 a day.

10 hens and 1 rooster in my flock!
Ever since I started spoiling them (or bugging them??) We have gotten a maximum of 2 eggs a day. Someone new started laying these sweet tiny eggs! But then the medium sized brown eggs I had been receiving every day to every other day, just stopped coming! It's been a week since I have collected one and now a different hen is laying! I guess 2 eggs a day is all our flock thinks we can handle. SPRING, please bring me eggs!!!

Another 11 out of 14. I think I posted the same yesterday but I found another at lockdown so yesterday was 12/14. Anyone know how long it takes for a hen to start laying again after hatching chicks? Unfortunately I had to take the chicks away from the two hens that went broody on me. Just curious how long it will take before they will lay again.
