How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Hi Penny, things are pretty good here. I have 39 chickens (counting roosters & pullets) plus 3 meat chickens that are ready to be butchered ( well, I'm ready to butcher them, they probably aren't in any hurry ).
I have some kind of itchy rash on both arms and both knees. At first I thought it was poison ivy, but it doesn't look or act like it. I do think it is some kind of plant rash though. Fortunately, it isn't itchy ALL day, just during random parts of the day .
I leave on July 8th to accompany my Mother on a trip. We were suppose to go to Brian Head, Utah, but due to forest fires that was canceled. So now we are going to go to Santa Fe, New Mexico. I think that will be a better trip for my mom. She uses a walker or a wheel chair and I think she will be able to see & do more in New Mexico than in the mountains of Utah I haven't been to either place before, so I'm good with whatever.

We'll be gone until the 13th and my Mom will turn 82 on the 15th!
I did have a chick hatch out under the broody, but it didn't dry or fluff. It was dead when I found it. She is still sitting on 3 other eggs, but I don't know if they are going to hatch or not. I really need to go candle them.

I have a strange allergy .Im not allergic to cats or dogs but puppy's or kitten's in a box send me looking for Dramamine tablets.

Nope. The only thing I can think of that is bothering my arms is the prickly leaves on the zucchini and cucumber plants. But sometimes my arms & knees just start itching and then you can see a rash of raised bumps. Then it subsides for a while only to come back later.

My Mom came down stayed with me for a week 2 almost 3 years ago I would not have traded that for anything in the world and at 82 you may never have the chance again I am so thrilled your given that chance

Yep, them plants bite back, protecting their tasty veggies, with little hairs on their vines. That will irritate skin.
Never attempt to get a zucchini without full protection. Leather jacket, gloves and chaps.

@karenerwin maybe with all the stress you have a bit of psoriasis going quite common when stress is high see if you can get in with a dermatologist

Sounds like the plot line for a cheesy psy-phi movie! But yes, I have bought some long gloves, I just need to remember to put them on.
