How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Hopefully none! I picked up chicks from a member's house and they're all supposed to be pullets.

I went to the hen house and got 23 eggs from 14 hens.. It was not a joke. Husband forgot to gather eggs yesterday.

my duck hen did give me one e.g.g like she does everyday though. even built a new nest for it.

I have 7 hens....I always get 4-7 e g g s every day!

6 duck eggs (average day is 5-8 from 10 girls)

9 chicken eggs (avg. day is up to 10 from 12 girls)

2 bantam eggs (3 hens lay an egg each every other day)

I feel bad about saying this when I see alot of the threads about "My hens aren't laying" or "Egg production seems down" so I'm counting us as blessed.

We got our first small flock 12 days ago and from day one they've been laying machines (or at least it seems that way to us). Out of 6 hens (2 are too old to lay and one is suspect, leaving only 3 or 4 layers until the 2 new coops are built this weekend) we've been getting a steady 3 eggs a day. We've had a couple of days of 1 or 2 but almost like clockwork, 3 a day.
