How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Hens went wild yesterday while I was in their pen. A mole came in and they attacked it, chasing each other pecking and carrying it around, till it was almost dead. Then they moved away from it, like it was deadly.
I stepped on it to finish it off. I tossed it to them and they moved away from it.
It was over so fast, I couldn't get my phone out quick enough.

First time in 2018... Should there be suspicion of theft or would they all take a run for a new nest due to the best weather so far this year today?

They also got locked up way late.
getting my flashlight out now.

7/8 But, I'm going to put 12 Lavender Ameraucana eggs in a carton and keep them in our spare Bedroom. Going to let the old girls lay in their nest for a couple weeks to see if someone will go broody. If so, I will let them sit on the Lavender eggs. Ah, spring is around the corner. My Lavenders are young and not real broody at all so, if we have luck my wife wants babys for the spring.

Mine turned out to 15 big girls and 1 of 4 in Silky land but at leas Mud
is broody on 2 eggs
