How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Gosh mine are starting to lay early in the morning - 2 before I'd let them out at 7.30 and they were already cold! My other 2 often don't lay until early afternoon silly chickens.
I usually have 2 by 830am and they’re cold too! By lunch I have the rest. Maybe 1 super late around 5-6pm. One morning I had 6 before 9am! I love it!

They look close... bah! I don’t want to wait two more months!
They do look quite close. I doubt you will wait more than another week or so.

Mine tend to cycle through the day. If one lays early one day she will lay later the next day, and again the next ... and so on. Of course some only lay 1 or 2 days before a day (or more for the older girls) off.

The other 2 laid late morning so another 4/4 day (even my silly little silkie Doris is surprising me!)
Mine tend to cycle through the day.
Makes sense I think it is 26 hours I read for an egg to go through, although these young girls seem to be laying pretty much every day so not sure how that works!

Me either. Angel (2015 White Rock) started this way at 23 weeks 3 days (11/19/15):
1
day off
2
day off
5
day off
7
day off
31
day off

She had a number of other runs in the teens and twenties through the winter (her first) and spring. Tried to go broody 6/19/16, started laying again on 6/25 after I broke her then starting 7/3/16:
68 days without a break!!!!

So that "26 hour" thing clearly is an average of a large number of "samples".
