How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Look at those chicks!!! It makes me want more. I’ve been contemplating for a while now...

I know nothing about incubating eggs so I’ll let the experts here jump in with an opinion on the 6th egg.
They are sooo cute but when I saw them and then the 4 week old ones I cna't believe how quickly they grow! So I left the 6th egg in there - fingers crossed it will be OK - I just wanted to leave her be (I'd already bothered her twice today) it is cool over night so hoping if it is a bad one it won't explode!

So todays egg day gets even stranger - I was on 13/2 but when I went out earlier there was a soft shell broken / eaten on the ground and then later again I found another crinkled balloon egg that I think still felt a bit warm so today turned into a 15/2 day - not bad not bad :lau:lau

I'm to bed for an early night :frow- will update on chick land in the morning and I need to do some stuff in my poor house and try not to spend the whole day with them as I have MIL arriving for a visit Saturday morning!

Well you want already layers I have two unknown that lay white eggs but not large nor banty also a creme legbar that is a pullet if you want the three the legbar is not laying yet black and white unknown are laying

Hi, bit of a horrid chicken day (didn't get any of my other stuff done!) overall- I fought but lost the effort for little egg number 6 this evening. Post here if you want to read what happened: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/help-urgent-egg-that-is-making-noise.1249334/ On the upside I have 5 gorgeous healthy little fluffballs (1 Faverolles, 2 Orpington, 2 Australorp) :ya:ya:ya:jumpy:jumpy:jumpyand successfully planted 12 eggs under broody 3 :ya:ya:ya!

2/2 eggs and both perfect :ya

I had to laugh earlier.

I was combining some of my photos using Google Photos. I have gotten used to photos of my goats and chickens being labeled as pets.

This time around some of my babies got listed as ducks. And it wasn't even the yellow chick that was pictured. That one is just called a bird.

14/16 today. I kept the girls locked in their coop/run until about 5pm. I think a couple of them are laying somewhere else since I’ve been getting 12 a day this whole week. But when my BIL was caring for them (locked up) he was getting 14-15 eggs a day.

There’s no place to hide a nest in their yard. Which means they’re hopping the fence. :barnie

2.5/2 today - another double yoker and the other perfect again! They seem to swing between fabulous eggs and their weird offerings! I'd be more worried if there was never good eggs from them (or her - not sure who is doing odd ones if it is the same hen or different!) but they can do it right. I read on another thread that some pullets get it right straigt away while other can take up to 6 months to have good eggs every day so I'm not going to worry too much!
