How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I would almost want frozen but my rubber boots are great in mud not ice
so will keep the mud or dry as it is right now still hard packed mud

4 today, another small white one, 44g this time. Really not sure which of the 4 that could lay a white egg is responsible. I don't thing Lana, a small golden Campine, would start that large. Yue is 6.5 years old and has the darkest comb but I don't think even her first egg ever was that small. Which leaves the 2 Exchequer Leghorns. Also small birds and neither is sporting a really red comb.

Maybe a stray bird like a leghorn came in while you weren't looking

Long time no see all! I have been getting 4 eggs a day...from 5 hens and 9 pullets...better then none!

I have 12 laying hens but had only gotten 6 to 9 eggs a day until Christmas day. They gave me 11 eggs! They wished me a Merry Christmas!

They are all finally laying

I had to pull one bird from the nest box last night as it was sleeping in there, maybe it just couldn’t get to the roost in time?

That is really odd to not get any at all, I remember you posting when it first started. What breeds do you have? How old are they? what do you feed them?

I would jump up and down, carefully if holding the eggs
It’s nice when all the work you put in starts to pay off with fresh eggs.
