I’m not getting an official egg count from the new sitters but from what I see on the cameras it’s in the 11-13 range. Definitely saw 3 leghorn eggs today.

Harder to do when not there I was out pretty early here 11:48 am few hours behind I have sourdough bread rising

14 yesterday (Wednesday), 9 today ( Thursday). 1 hen died while I was in Jamaica. She wasn't even a year old.
2 hens are broody in 1 coop ( out of 4 layers) and 1 broody in the other coop.

5 today!! My flock of 16 and 2 Roos are just 5 months. It’s exciting trying to figure out who’s started laying. I’ve gotten some little eggs that I thought were from a silky but today I saw Rosie my light Brahma deposit a little tiny egg. Bless her heart.

Hens. They bring such joy when they lay and such confusion and sadness when they up and die suddenly.

Looks like there may have been a soft egg this morning. On the cameras the sitter was saying ‘oh no’ and ‘grandpa will have to rake it up later’. No sign of a dead hen - that’s good! I come home this evening.

1 egg so far today, out of 6 hens. I usually get 2 or 3 a day...they just started laying.

Only 7 eggs today. Was wrong about 2nd broody. She must have either been laying a late egg or decided to sleep in the nest box. Not sure which.
