How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

2 eggs yesterday, green and white.

I forgot the count the eggs but I’m guessing around 8.

Kale was eaten by someone- I hope the hens! I put some squashed into one of those metal suet feeders and hung it this morning inside the coop. All that’s left now is the thick stems. I refilled it.

Sprouted wheat seeds is a HUGE hit with the girls. Sprouted rye seed isn’t nearly as popular although they like the seeds themselves enough to have dug under the protective fencing today to eat them out of the area I planted a few days ago. I’ll have to reseed that after I resecure it. The rye seeds I planted in a grazing box in the run have started to sprout. They need several more days to grow above the wire grate protecting them to become a grass snack. I have to refresh myself on benefits if rye vs wheat to determine which one to sprout more of. I’m going to start the soaking of the broccoli, mustard and radish seeds tonight. Small test batches.

1 and it was greenish bluish. Must have been Cassie but she isn't even done moulting so kind of confusing. 60g, much too big to be one of the EE pullet's first egg.

Just 5 today. None from my low layers coop.
Three in the big house were from spring girls. There were 2 green, 1 blue and 2 brown in the big house. Just the young ones lay green and blue.

So glad to hear the wedding was wonderful! Sorry about your mom Do what Penny suggested even if you have to be a total witch about it.

I asked and they said they had checked for sepsis and that she did not have it. I think they are checking to see if she has C-diff. I think she may get out on Monday or later, but don't see her getting out this weekend.
