10 eggs for me today.
I have a sick hen. I found her this morning on the floor in the corner of the coop. I moved her to an isolation coop, but I don't think she will still be with us in the morning.
She hadn't been acting sick or anything until this morning. I think she is one of my new BCM's. I'll autopsy her tomorrow to see if I can figure out what happened.

Oh no! I hope whatever is the problem either resolves itself and she’s ok or she goes quick and it’s an isolated instance. Best thoughts to you and your hen.

Got 10 total today so I guess I’ll keep them all one more day. And one broody pullet. She’s been flirting with it for 2 days but tonight she wouldn’t stay out of the nest boxes at roost time. I had to block them off. Tomorrow she goes to broody jail.

I’m prepping jalapeño peppers tonight. I’ve read to not give the girls those trimmings. I think I’ll bury them in the compost and if they scratch them up, oh well. Hopefully some bugs will eat the trimmings and then the hens can eat the bugs.

4 for 4 again today, that's 3 days in a row. I'm not sure if they can keep it up.

She did not make it. I think she went quickly though. I still need to do the autopsy.
I had a doctor appointment today and then had to go meet the grandson's bus. Plus I don't feel 100%. Hopefully, I will be more myself tomorrow and will get it done. She was in the small coop (10 hens, 1 rooster; now 9 hens 1 rooster). I may just give them all some corrid since I'm not getting many eggs from that coop and I haven't wormed them in a year +
