How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

One green egg! I figure it’ll be the only one so I’m posting early!

I got 8 so far today. I'm posting now because I am getting ready to drive down to y son's. I'll be back either Wednesday or Thursday .

Got one again today, 50g. I am GUESSING it is one pullet laying, not more. The eggs (5 now) all look pretty similar. 2 of the pullets are EEs so I'll know when one of them starts to lay. Unfortunately Meyer sent me twins, black and white, I can only tell them apart because Rhea has a brown leg band. I think I'm going to change it to a lighter/brighter color, the brown hides against her green legs.

9 again today per the sitter. She however forgot to feed the hens their daily fermented feed. Luckily there’s plenty of food in the bin feeder as well as biota in the compost bin and greens from the fire bush. No one will starve. But still..... grr.

7 eggs for me today. I came back this evening instead of tomorrow because when I was halfway to my son's house a friend called to tell me that her husband got another deer ( archery season) and they were going to drop it off at the house for me! Since I wasn't home, they went ahead and gutted it and hung it in their yard ( where it would freeze; temps in the teens over night) and then they would drop it off at my house in the morning. My hubby said they dropped it off around 11 this morning.
My son and I fished for about 3 hours on the Jacks Fork river, but we didn't catch any trout. He hooked 1 but it got off. Then I drove home. Got home around 7:30 this evening. Tomorrow will be butcher the deer day! I've only butchered 1 other deer, so I am sure I will be "youtube-ing" it as I go!
