How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Zero for me today.

2 white and 2 brown today, this is 4 a day for 4 days in a row now. I think I might get enough eggs for Thanksgiving. So far I have gotten 34 eggs since the 1st of Nov and I can't wait to start backing next weekend.

Playing catch up. I got 12 Friday, my first full day home. Then only 4 (!) on Saturday. Today it’s 6 so far today but one was a soft leghorn egg.

A neighbor bought a dozen yesterday and the main buying neighbor is buying 4 dozen today. That total basically pays for the feed for the month for all of them. I’m pretty happy with that!

Saw my first rat in the chicken area Friday night. I didn’t have time yesterday to deal with it but raked in what I assume was it’s dig holes. This morning was a much larger dig hole in same area. I just put out poison (under a crate the hens can’t get into). I hope that gets the bugger.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes. Also, can you take a picture of the dig holes and post them here. I would like to compare them to the holes and runs I've seen this year. I haven't seen any rats, just a couple of small mice, but that doesn't mean I don't have rats just because I don't see them!
