How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I've been getting about 1 duck egg/day from 5 laying-age Runners (who took a long break) and am pleased as punch to be getting any at all. :D Collecting those precious orbs for incubation!

Best of luck weathering the storm!!
Why don’t you let ducks set on them? Won’t they? I have Muscovies that didn’t want me to take their eggs. As soon as it warms up I’m going to let them hatch some..then take them in to the brooder. :)

got 2 more duck eggs and 3 more chicken eggs..makes 20 today!

Probably.....don’t feel bad...I’ve had ducks since feb and they JUSt started laying on Dec 29!! Crazy!
Dandy!!! They really like to eat too!
.....and poop!

I don't think other ducks get as broody as muscovys. Maybe toss some under a bantam this spring, if they ever start laying.

Nine chicken eggs & Eleven quail eggs....

7 today

My ducks have never started laying. We bought them as ducklings in July~August. One of the drakes has been breeding/mounting one of the ducks for the last month or so. Will they not lay until spring? Or anytime?
I don't know ducks but if they were chickens I wouldn't be surprised if they hadn't started laying yet. I usually get eggs from my non first winter pullets starting mid to late February.

Well my record of 12 eggs in one day didn’t last long. I got 13 from 13 layers today!
Whoo hoo!!!!

Thanks! It worked! I got home safe and sound. All we ended up with was rain. It froze on the car but not on the roads. And most of the schools had called off for day!
Oh I’m so happy for you! We had black ice everywhere last night into this morning, they ended up canceling school here too.
