None of the Runner ducks are broody right now, and I'm not sure if I'd let them sit on eggs, even if they were. I do have a couple of Muscovy, too, but they're not broody, either. Plus, incubator-hatched ducklings are more habituated to people and are easier to handle...and I'm not having to "steal" them from their mamas when it's time to rehome them.Why don’t you let ducks set on them? Won’t they? I have Muscovies that didn’t want me to take their eggs. As soon as it warms up I’m going to let them hatch some..then take them in to the brooder.
got 2 more duck eggs and 3 more chicken eggs..makes 20 today!
Sounds like frittata time at your house with all those eggs!
