Yes, find it! I know if I'd been raised around them I wouldn't be any more upset than getting startled by a garter snake, but eek! Even when i lived in Colorado and we did lots of 4 wheeling and ghost towning, I never saw a rattlesnake. They probably heard my teeth chattering in fear and slithered far away.

I got 16 eggs today but some of them were laid yesterday, I just couldn't get in the coop to get them!

One 67 gram white egg today, making the score 1 for 6 with the remaining hens/pullets still out on vacation. The Faverolles are older, so they're excused, the EE is mid molt so she's excused, the Welsummer has no excuse!

My Dad said he couldn't believe I would grab them because they can be mean ( bite!) but I don't know how else to get them out of the nest box!! Plus I've never been bite by a big snake ( yet) and I'm almost 58!
If I find it I will post it here, but it was from 5 or more years ago I think.

Came out with 9 big girls getting more and more actually more getting old enough
seems even the two I bought at auction are very young rather new pullet white from the big blue mix small side now so are going in the main coop to lay which makes things simple and will show the speckled to do the same
