How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

So.... yeah they're loud.

I don't recall my 2 Anconas were quite that proud of their eggs though there is a huge range from my girls. From Persephone (7.5 YO EE) who will lay an egg and silently walk out of the nest like she was never there to girls who really want EVERYONE to know that they laid an egg to one that will stand in the coop singing the egg song because ANOTHER hen is in a box waiting for her egg. Um, thanks, I don't really need a "someone is going to lay an egg" announcement.

7 today, one from a 2015 girl, one from a 2018 and 5 from the 2019s

15 today. But hubby said he did not collect from yesterday. I mentioned how few there were in the big coop ( 21 hens). He said that it is because my dog got in there and sucked up some eggs. But he didn't know how many. I only got 7 from that coop for 2 days worth of production!

I didn't count eggs or chickens but I got another double yolker today so that's worth mentioning. Poor little thing earned it, wanted to keep it, stood her ground. But I'm bigger and stronger so I won.

12 plus 3 I kept back for hatching.

I keep thinking about setting some aside to hatch too.
Also a science teacher I know wants me to give him some fertile eggs around the first week of March, and that is just around the corner!
