How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

A few months I think. She’s always had narrower eggs, but they started getting oddly shaped this summer. Then she stopped laying for a month due to stress and just started back up a week ago. She’s also been having thin shells this summer.
How old is she?

A little over 2 years. She’s supposed to be a Rhode Island Red but she’s got a much narrower, taller build than my other RIR.

She's very pretty! :love
She definitely lays odd eggs though. Anybody else have thin shells like her?

That's a mighty odd looking egg :)

Got 9 good eggs from 20 birds at 21 weeks, but 2 more that had no shell, just that soft membrane sack. Seems like every few days we get one or two of those, even though they are on layer feed and have oyster shell.
I'm jealous. My nine 20 weekers still haven't layed an egg. The only one laying is a golden laced wyandotte who we found as a stray. (But she has been laying practically every single day! So I'm proud of her!)
One egg out of one layer (yesterday)

Nope, she’s the only one. I only have 2 layers other than her at the moment, but even before I lost the others hers have been way thinner.
It must just be the way her egg maker works. :idunno
She looks good and healthy. :)

I have one with a weird egg maker too. Of my 6 layers all have nice hard shells except one. Her shells are thin and there seems to be extra material built up on the shell toward the end of the egg. It’s like a little raised rough spot. That’s also the one that always gets broken in the nest when my littles start exploring. They’re not so little anymore and can be very destructive.
