They're so pretty! Is the speckled egg a Welsummer?

Nope-my Cuckoo Marans. Been laying a darker brown egg most days, thinking speckled was due to extreme heat the couple days before. Laid a soft egg yesterday due to heat. Hopefully back dark brown tomorrow, but we had the crazy orange sky today with ash falling all day so it might throw her off. My BO just seems to be a solid healthy layer so far tho!

Edit: I actually got 2 today. One of my hens laid pretty late in the day.

My pullets are starting to experience “being upset because someone else is in the nest I want”. They’ve got 8 to choose from, 5 of which are identical, but there’s 2 clear favorites. I got 2 eggs today, including my first blue egg.
