First ever 6 egg day!! My Russian Orloff finally stopped free-loading today!

4 out of 7. Still have 6 freeloaders. 2 bantams are wanna be broodies. One stayed in the nest boxes most of the day collecting eggs from other visitors usually when I collect the first one she leaves, not today, and no egg from her either.

7 eggs from 8 hens. One of the 8 hasn't laid yet, but she's a "special" chicken.

1 today! I am unreasonably thrilled about one egg a day but knowing someone has made a nest, that I found, has fresh eggs in it, and is still being used after I pulled eggs out of it is awesome! A pullet I assume because the first eggs were longer and thinner than normal and theyve progressively gotten more egg shaped.

6 last night. Got a newbie layer, just cannot figure out if it's the one that started laying over the weekend or one of the two non-layers that I have left. Guess we'll figure it out when we get 5 white eggs and 6 brown eggs one day.
