Newbie here! Newbie chicken mom too. I got my FIRST TWO eggs today!! I'm so excited. But I have to ask a question....how long can I wait to put them in the incubator? My incubator holds 42....and I only have 2 now.....TIA

How old are the birds that layed said eggs Please?

holy lord. a girl was in the nest box when I last went out so I thought she'd lay but FOUR more eggs. 10 eggs today. this is crazy. haha

6 out of 12, I think. Broody, who hasn’t been using the nests since her baby hatched two months ago, decided to sleep in one tonight, so hopefully I got all the eggs from under her.

I ended up with 9 today, one gory pullet egg so somebody.else started laying.
They're popping like popcorn now.
Which mean i'll be getting carpal tunnel from making deviled eggs real soon.
