How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

Thought I'd share this first egg with people who'd appreciate how tiny and special it is! From my 19 week old Rosecomb mix.

We’ve only been getting around 4 eggs a day from about a dozen that should be laying, my mom did some investigating and found this today. I’m not home for a few more days so I’m having her candle to see if any are developing, since she tracked a broody to them

I haven’t been keeping up very good. Let’s just say I’ve been sick. In the middle of living in my camper to hopefully keep my family clear of this crap we have chicks hatching, normal chicken duties and a hurricane looming.

That’s a fine looking nest! Only a hopeful mother hen can make art out of an old bag, some leaves and pine straw, and a few feathers to personalize it!

That’s not an old bag at all is it? At second glance it looks a lot like Sycamore leaves.

I got 3 eggs today. I may have 55 chickens but only 4 are laying right now, due to molting and too young.
