6/10, all of the marans and Oliver eggers laid today! My poor Brahmas are still half naked so they haven’t laid eggs in over a month.

5 eggs today. Tomorrow, the chicken man cometh! We getting rid of some roosters and other freeloaders. I hope he’s willing to take some banty roosters too. This flock needs to be streamlined, for real!

That thought is the only reason I’m not starting with 7! 5 next year and I’ll add 2 more the year after. Same thing at the farm…will add about 10 every year now to make sure we have a few through the winter.

I don't have the room for all them. No chicken math here lol. Honesty I don't sell enough and wouldn't mind a slow down. I am grateful to my ladies for what they give though.
